In Fvg the first Digital Detox Festival, disconnect in nature

Rediscover the value of disconnecting interrupting the constant flow of connections digital that often leads us to forget the value of presence and time. It's the Digital Detox Festival, which began yesterday (and which will end tomorrow) in the small Carnic town of Sauris (Udine) which has 400 inhabitants and is perched at 1,400 meters high. The Festival, in its first edition and promoted by Alessio Carciofi, marketing & digital wellbeing expert, offers experiences of emotions and knowledge for a balance between real life and technology. "We live always connected. But not always present. Every day We spend an average of 6 hours and 40 minutes in front of a screen. In one year, that's more than 2,400 hours taken away from real life. It's as if we only lived 9 months a year. The other 3? We give them away to the screens", the organizers underline. Between walks in the woods, yoga at dawn, workshops and silences regenerating in nature, evenings of chats and meetings, Today, in particular, the talk "Algorithms, AI and sustainability: will the future make us freer?" with Guido Saracco, former rector of the Polytechnic of Turin, and Nicola Zamperini, an essayist and expert in digital technology, and a workshop inspired by the creative writing of Marisandra Lizzi. A part of the festival, in fact, is dedicated to understanding the impact of technology on our lives, for example on cognitive development, on the consequences of the link between hyperconnection, sleep and well-being (well & tech) and anxiety and the information overload on the new generations. The festival is organized by the Sauris-Zahre Business Network, with the contribution of the Ministry of Tourism and is created with patronage and collaboration of the European Commission, Parliament European, UNICEF, PromoTurismoFVG and the Municipality of Sauris.
