(by Marzia Apice) From Paolo Conte the painter to Emilio Isgrò poet, up to Mimmo Paladino and Michelangelo Pistoletto: they are all the exhibitions of this one are dedicated to contemporary art week. ASTI - The exhibition hosted by Paolo Conte is titled "Paolo Conte. Original" at Palazzo Mazzetti from 5 November to 1 March which tells the story role of painting in the creative universe of the great poet, Italian singer-songwriter and composer. 143 works on paper are on display. performed with different techniques and over a period of approximately 70 years years: some of these works have never been exhibited, including Higginbotham, 1957, tempera and ink, dedicated to a of the first great jazz trombonists. The great tribute to the Campanian author is composed of a nucleus of over 40 works from Italian public museums and foreigners and from important private collections, to reveal Paladino's entire activity starting from the experiments photographic works of the seventies, with the return to figuration in the 1980s, telling all the main themes addressed over the course of fifty years of activities, with particular attention to large-scale works format and painting that invades space. ROME - Emilio Isgrò protagonist at Tornabuoni Arte Roma with the exhibition "Rosso Shakespeare", set up from November 5th to 14th February, dedicated to his activity as a poet and writer first even as a visual artist. Creating a bridge between practice literary and artistic investigation through the word itself - from poetic compositions and newspaper articles to famous "cancellations" in art - the path presents from a side the texts for the theatre, the poetry collections, the novels and on the other hand visual works that have literary subjects, or related to writing. The last two rooms are dedicated to William Shakespeare. Here, the works created with Red Erasure, recurring figure of the most recent production, reach a monumental presence in the works Romeo and Juliet (2022) and Othello (2019) composed of 38 and 36 volumes respectively. BRESCIA - At the Santa Giulia Museum from November 8th to 22nd February "Material for an Exhibition. Stories, Memories and Struggles from Palestine and the Mediterranean", edited by Sara Alberani. project brings together works by artists from areas of conflict, particularly from the Middle East region - from Gaza to the West Bank to Lebanon - who have lived in first person person the daily life of war and exile. The works, between installations, videos, photographs, paintings and drawings, are signed by international Palestinian artists Mohammed Al-Hawajri, Dina Mattar and Emily Jacir (Golden Lion in Venice in 2007) and by the Lebanese artist Haig Aivazian. MONZA - A multidimensional experience that brings together relationship between art, spirituality and religions, while offering a reinterpretation of the research of one of the main artists contemporary Italians: it will remain on display for a year, until October 31, 2026, the exhibition "UR-RA - Unity of Religions - Responsibility of Art by Michelangelo Pistoletto", promoted and produced by the Consortium Villa Reale and Park of Monza and Cittadellarte Pistoletto Foundation, curated by Francesco Monico. Designed for the spaces of the Royal Villa, the exhibition aims to the role of art as a universal language, capable of emerging to promote harmony, peaceful coexistence and understanding mutual interaction between different cultures and religions.
