Asisa will also attend the Muface concert after raising the premium by 41.2%

Asisa has decided that it will also participate in the Muface agreement to provide private healthcare to its assigned employees, thus following Adeslas, which already announced its decision last week.
In a statement, Asisa has praised the Administration's "effort" to "improve" financing and introduce elements that, according to the insurer, support the equity of the administrative mutualism model.
"The new conditions, such as better financing for older age groups, make it possible to guarantee the quality of care and the sustainability of Muface and to begin to correct its imbalances," he said.
Asisa was the only one of the three insurers that was still considering staying in the agreement, even though Adeslas and DKV had already stated that they would not participate. After the withdrawal of these two insurers, the Government decided to raise the premium, so that at the end of the new agreement, in 2027, it would be 41.2% higher than the current one.
"Asisa has always shown its willingness to continue participating in Muface under conditions that guarantee the quality of care and the sustainability of the model," the insurer stressed. The contract has increased to around 4,808.5 million euros for the three years, after adding an additional allocation of 330.5 million euros in the second increase offered by the Government.
Specifically, the premium will rise by 41.2% at the end of the third year compared to the current agreement. The previous offer, which was put on hold, limited the increase to 33.5%.
In the new agreement, the premium increases vary depending on the age group. The premiums will end in 2027 in a range from 32.9 euros per month for insured persons between 5 and 14 years old to 273.97 euros for those over 74 years old. These amounts are exempt from VAT.
The specifications also include a clause for the "reestablishment of economic-financial equilibrium" for insurers. This compensation will have to be requested by the insurer whenever an "unforeseeable risk" occurs and is justified by an extraordinary change in circumstances, by an increase in the "burden" of providing the service and by the lack of alternative means to alleviate the imbalance.
The deadline for submitting bids is March 4. Of the three insurers still providing services to Muface, only DKV has not yet made a statement on whether it will participate or not. Mapfre, which left the agreement years ago due to its loss-making nature, is currently studying the tender documents due to the significant change in conditions.
