Financial support for women in Tizimín

TIZIMÍN.— With the assistance of more than 1,200 women from 28 police stations and the municipal capital, this Wednesday, state and municipal authorities, led by Governor Joaquín Díaz Mena and Mayor Adrián Quiroz Osorio, launched the Mujeres Renacimiento program.

The goal of this program is to provide bimonthly support of $2,500, for up to six bimonthly periods (depending on the length of the program), to women living in moderate poverty, extreme poverty, or vulnerability, so they can address their needs independently.

Mayor Adrián Quiroz emphasized that Wednesday, April 23rd, will be marked as a historic moment in Tizimín, as it not only marks the beginning of registration for the Mujeres Renacimiento program in the municipality, but also recognizes thousands of women who have lovingly sustained their homes for years.

“This program, promoted by our state governor, is much more than public policy: it's a promise kept and a clear demonstration that our government stands on the side of women,” she said. “Their close, sensitive, and committed work has been essential in ensuring that programs like this reach those most in need.”

“We turn our attention to the women of Tizimín, who have taught us the true strength that comes from the heart.”

“I think of women who balance dreams, caregiving, and responsibilities with a generosity that inspires us. I think of the future girls deserve, of the dignified and free life we ​​are obligated to build.”

"I'm proud of all the women from Tizimín who have raised their daughters and sons with sacrifice, quiet efforts, and a dedication that often goes unnoticed," he emphasized.

For his part, the state governor reported that with this registration in Tizimín, 15 municipalities have now been visited since the program began. The program will gradually expand throughout the state to cover all 106 municipalities. The final registration date is May 20th.

Díaz Mena emphasized her support for the women of Tizimín, stating that her government is concerned about all of them and that they are not alone.

The governor also announced the creation of a "Renaissance Center," where children, adolescents, and young adults can develop their skills in sports, art, and culture; as well as the creation of a daycare center where working mothers can take their children for care until their workday ends. This initiative was initiated by the president of the municipal DIF (District of Income), Lina Fernández Alcocer. This space is planned to be located in the former IMSS daycare center.

Registration in this municipality will continue today, Thursday, in Colonia Yucatán and Popolnah.

The event was attended by Lina Fernández Alcocer, president of the Municipal System for Comprehensive Family Development; Sisely Burgos Cano, head of Semujeres; Adela Escamilla Acevedo, undersecretary of Welfare; Fátima del Rosario Perera Salazar, head of the Welfare Secretariat; Rogelio Castro Vázquez, federal delegate of the Welfare Program in the state; and City Council members.

The first women to submit their applications for this support were María Concepción Chuc Canul and Lesly Guadalupe Caamal Palomo.
