Javier Hidalgo, owner of Pilares in CDMX, has cancer

Javier Hidalgo , head of the Pilares Community Education Subsystem, announced on Monday that he has cancer . The local official explained that yesterday was when he received the results of the studies and evaluations that were carried out on him after he developed a lesion on his right thigh in November of last year.
Through a message on his X account, formerly Twitter, the former head of the Sports Institute and the Youth Institute of the capital informed his collaborators of his condition in one thigh where they detected a high-grade sarcoma, which in other words, he explained that it is a very aggressive, but curable cancer .
Hidalgo said he will fight cancer and continue to lead the nearly 300 Innovation, Freedom, Art, Education and Knowledge Points (Pilares) in Mexico City.
Javier Hidalgo will begin cancer treatment"It is a personal circumstance that does imply a setback, that is something of nature, that will make it difficult for me to participate as I like, going to all the Pillars, to the meetings and everywhere. I want to do it, to face my personal challenge, but also without giving up on the collective challenge," he told his collaborators.
The Pilares manager said that after receiving his diagnosis of cancer in his right thigh he will immediately begin treatment for this disease and plans to do so starting next week.
"We are going to fight it. This is not going to defeat us at all. And obviously, we are going to fight this," he told his collaborators.
In light of this, Javier Hidalgo reaffirmed that he will remain in charge of his position in Pilares, but due to these circumstances he will sometimes be physically present and at other times he will have to do so remotely.
"What I want to ask you is that we move forward, that I will face this issue together with you, knowing that we are doing what we have to do," he said.
