La Primera de Expansión on the great blackout in Spain and BBVA's results

The electrical chaos has led to the largest blackout in Spain's history. This is the first time we've witnessed an electricity event of such magnitude in our country, and it occurred just as the market pricing system was completely out of whack. Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez confirmed that the blackout began when 60% of the energy demanded "suddenly" disappeared from the grid.
Furthermore, BBVA has just announced its results. The bank posted profits of €2.698 billion in the first quarter of 2025, representing a year-over-year increase of 22.7%.
As for the day's agenda , the President of the Government, along with His Majesty the King, will attend the extraordinary meeting of the National Security Council at Moncloa Palace.
