Sheinbaum rejects falling into blackmail or threats from El Mayo Zambada

President Claudia Sheinbaum denied falling prey to blackmail or threats from Ismael 'El Mayo' Zambada and said that her letter would be handled in accordance with the Foreign Ministry's protocols for any Mexican.
During her morning press conference at the National Palace , the national leader pointed out that the federal government will apply what the laws and the Constitution say.

"We will not fall for blackmail or threats, we will fulfill our responsibility and comply with the laws," said the head of the federal Executive.

He indicated that in light of the letter sent by Ismael 'El Mayo' Zambada to request consular assistance for his repatriation, what must be done is to follow " what the laws and the Constitution say, not to fall into blackmail, threats , or to fall into what a newspaper says or a financial analyst recommends. That is what the Attorney General's Office and the Foreign Relations protocols are for."

He reiterated that the Attorney General's Office has been working on the case for some time, and regarding the letter he said that "if any Mexican sends a letter, there must be a response, as is in the Constitution."
He reiterated that this is not a matter of blackmail or threats, and that his government will not engage in politics with this issue and will adhere to the protocols of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for any Mexican.
