Everything is ready for the Guanajuato Bach Festival 2025
Everything is ready for the start of the Guanajuato Bach Festival 2025 , which will take place from July 2 to 6 at different venues in Guanajuato, Irapuato, and León. It will feature a program packed with classical music compositions from the world's most renowned composers.
Thus, as every year, Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750) will be heard again at the Guanajuato Bach Festival , which includes a total of 10 concerts spread across the three host cities.
A total of five programs will be presented: the Brandenburg Concerto, Solo Cantatas, and Orchestral Suites, performed by the Guanajuato Bach Consort, an ensemble made up of exceptionally talented musicians with a passion for Baroque music. The program will feature a distinguished performance by four musicians, and the program will feature a solo performance by Raúl Moncada.

One of the venues is the Juárez Theater , where five performances are planned. The event will also be held at the Roberto Plasencia Saldaña Bicentennial Theater and the Mateo Herrera Auditorium, both located in the city of León.
In the city of Irapuato, the venues will be the Diocesan Sanctuary of Our Lady of Solitude, the cathedral, and the City Theater in collaboration with the Municipal Institute of Art, Culture, and Recreation.
The opening ceremony will be the "Brandenburg Concerto" on August 2, a collection of six musical works featuring different instrumentation and exploring diverse combinations of solo and ensemble instruments. It will be performed by the Guanajuato Bach Consort under the direction of Erik Bosgraaf, a prominent Dutch flutist.
It is worth noting that the "Musical Offering" will be performed at all three venues with the outstanding participation of Víctor Frausto (flute), Pedro Zayas (violin), Mikhail Rovinsky (cello) and Raúl Moncada (harpsichord).

Conducted by Erik Bosgraff, the Guanajuato Bach Consort will offer the repertoire "Solo Cantatas." Raúl Moncada, who has been instrumental in the development of this festival, will dedicate two concerts to a program featuring the harpsichord as the main instrument.
Ticket prices for shows in Guanajuato and León range from 110 pesos to 150 pesos. For the concerts in Irapuato, admission will be free.
