Singer Majo Aguilar released "Mariachi Mio" this Thursday, an album that represents the most ambitious project of her career and combines traditional mariachi with contemporary genres such as huapango, flamenco, rap, and tumbado. According to her team, the album is a powerful declaration of identity, cultural pride, and creative freedom.

Comprised of ten songs, "Mariachi mío" opens with "Cuéntame," a moving collaboration with Alex Fernández that unites two heirs to great Mexican musical dynasties. This is followed by "Luna azul," in which Aguilar joins forces with rapper Santa Fe Klan for a powerful blend of urban and mariachi sounds.

The main theme, "Que te vaya bien", is presented as a hymn to self-esteem, in it The artist turns vulnerability into strength. The offering continues with songs like "Piel Azteca," a tribute to Mexican roots, and "El beso," a ballad that combines mariachi tumbado with a cinematic style.

The album also includes a reinterpretation of Miguel Bosé's classic ballad, "Si tú no vuelves," and a cover of Belanova's "Aún así te vas," in which Majo pays tribute to her pop influences. Tracks like "Mala Mala" and "Quise algo bien" reinforce her narrative of feminine strength and emotional expression.

The album closes with “No pidas perdón,” a closing piece that makes clear the artist’s vision: honoring the tradition of mariachi while expanding its boundaries with honesty and its own style.
