Maradona death trial: a woman was suspected of perjury and then continued to testify

This is Nelsa Pérez, an administrator of the Medidom prepaid health insurance company, who provided services to Diez when he was at the residence in the San Andrés gated community.

The administrator of a private health insurance company suspected of false testimony continued her testimony in the trial for the death of Diego Armando Maradona on Tuesday.

Judicial sources informed the Argentine News Agency that the victim is Nelsa Pérez , an employee of Medidom, the prepaid medical company that provided medical services to the star when he was at his residence in the San Andrés gated community.

Initially, the woman was removed from the scene for alleged perjury in the case, after it was noticed that she was "contradicting herself." She then continued her testimony in the trial for the death of Diez.

Verónica Ojeda and Dieguito Fernando's advisor, Mario Baudry , described the situation as "terrible" because the woman "defended the nurses."

For his part, psychologist Carlos Díaz's lawyer, Diego Olmedo , maintained that the witness "contradicted herself" as to whether Diego's hospitalization was "at home" or if he received "home care": "She denies that there is an institute for home care in Argentina."

In this context, he emphasized: "It doesn't seem like she's lying; she's an elderly woman, about 70 years old."
