Max reveals the first trailer for Chespirito's bioseries, 'Sin querer queriendo'

The HBO Max channel presented this Tuesday the official trailer for its new original biographical series, 'Chespirito: Sin querer queriendo' , which is inspired by the life and legacy of Mexican comedian Roberto Gómez Bolaños , which will premiere its first episode on June 5 .
"This series portrays the life of Roberto Gómez Bolaños , the man who transformed his desire to provoke smiles into a universal legacy of humor and tenderness," the platform said in a statement.
The series, Max noted, is an eight-episode "emotional journey" into the life of the actor and comedian, spanning his childhood through his most successful years.
"The biographical series shows us how a young dreamer managed to make his way in a fledgling television industry, facing personal challenges and profound sacrifices in his search for love and recognition," he added.
The company described Gómez Bolaños, who died in November 2014 , as "an entertainment legend" who left an "indelible mark" on Ibero-American popular culture.
"Actor, comedian, writer, screenwriter, director, and producer, his talent gave life to characters who became universal symbols of humor and tenderness," he said.
For this reason, he noted, Chespirito's legacy lives on in several generations who grew up with his stories, thanks to his "family-friendly humor" and after becoming a cultural ambassador for Latin entertainment, so his work "continues to cross borders and touch hearts around the world."
'Chespirito' will be played by Pablo Cruz , while Paulina Dávila will play Graciela Fernández , Gómez Fernández's first wife, in addition to Bárbara López , as Margarita Ruiz (Doña Florinda); Arturo Barba , as Rubén Aguirre (Professor Jirafales); Andrea Noli , as Angelines Fernández (the Witch of '71) and Miguel Islas as Ramón Valdés (Don Ramón).
In addition to Juan Lecanda as Marcos Barragán (Quico); Eugenio Bartilotti as Edgar Vivar (Mr. Barriga and Ñoño); Paola Montes de Oca as María Antonieta de las Nieves (La Chilindrina); among others.
Additionally, María Antonieta de las Nieves and Edgar Vivar will make special cameo appearances in the series, as will Roberto Gómez Fernández and Esteban Valdés (Ramón Valdés' son).
For more than 40 years, Chespirito created hundreds of television episodes, as well as films and plays.
His legacy lives on in reruns of series like "El Chavo del Ocho" and "El Chapulín Colorado," among others, which have been translated into more than 50 languages and continue to air on television networks around the world to this day.
His small stature (1.60 meters) and his inexhaustible imagination earned him the nickname 'Chespirito', a Spanish version of the name of the English playwright Shakespeare, given to him by the film director Agustín Delgado, who considered him a master of the theater.
