Mila Yankelevich's death: toxicology results of the barge's crew members were released.

The Miami Coast Guard, which is in charge of the investigation, reported this. Alcohol and drug tests were conducted as part of standard procedures.
Tests conducted on the participants in the boating accident in Miami last Monday that left two victims dead, Mila Yankelevich and Erin Ko, came back negative for drugs and alcohol, according to U.S. authorities.
The tragedy occurred when a barge collided with a sailboat carrying children and ended up underneath the vessel , so toxicological studies were required which revealed that none of those involved were under the influence of any substance, as explained by authorities to the North American media Channel 7 News Miami.
Likewise, the investigation into the images and information is ongoing, so those present at the time of the tragedy were contacted: “Anyone with video images of the incident or an eyewitness account is asked to contact the Coast Guard investigating officers by email at [email protected] .”

For its part, the Miami-Dade County coroner's office determined that the girls died from "accidental drowning" and not from the impact of the barge itself. U.S. Coast Guard officials also confirmed that all the children were wearing life jackets, as they told the television station.
The same website reported that seven-year-old Calena Gruber was discharged from the hospital after receiving stitches, while 11-year-old Arielle, identified by her synagogue in Bal Harbour, remains in critical condition at Jackson Memorial Hospital.
The girls were attending a summer camp and were taken for a day sailboat lesson in Biscayne Bay , where the tragedy occurred. According to Pete Sanchez, a spokesman for the Miami-Dade Fire Department, there were six people on the sailboat: five children and one adult woman.

Four children were taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital , three of whom are in critical condition, Sanchez said Monday. Images captured by a Noticias 23 helicopter show the moment rescuers were responding to the emergency and rescuing the victims.
According to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission (FWC), the agency in charge of the investigation, preliminary information indicates that a barge collided with the sailboat carrying six people near Star Island in Miami Beach.
