Selena Gomez’s Suggestive ‘Talk’ Lyrics Aren’t Subtle at All

Selena Gomez saved one of her most suggestive songs for the deluxe edition of her and Benny Blanco’s album I Said I Love You First. The engaged couple released the music video for their new track “Talk” last night, which features more footage from their epic prom photo shoot.

The song, however, is more about lusting for a partner after he leaves. Gomez and Blanco are long-distance at times, so the lyrics carry extra weight given their situation.

The couple discussed how difficult it is to be apart during their appearance on Table Manners with Jessie and Lennie Ware this week. They never go more than three weeks away from each other if they can help it.

“It’s just so hard,” Gomez said. “I mean, I don’t think it is typical, but what I do love about the distance is it does make us miss each other and cherish the time we have together. But two weeks is like ideal. But if I’m being really honest, it’s like two days and then I get really sad.”

In “Talk,” Gomez misses her man even more. She sings in the pre-chorus, “I know you just left but, damn, I need you right back / I’ma call you daddy ’cause I know you like that / Go recharge your batteries, come back to me and make your mama proud.”
