MEXICO CITY (apro).- Tropical waves 9 and 10 will move and bring heavy rains throughout the week, according to the National Meteorological Service (SMN).
These precipitations will be accompanied by lightning and possible hail, increasing the risk of flooding, according to the National Water Commission (Conagua) from July 7 to 10.
For Sunday night and early Monday morning, the Mexican monsoon in northwestern Mexico will bring very heavy rainfall in Chihuahua, Durango, and Sinaloa; heavy rainfall in Sonora, and showers in Baja California Sur.
Meanwhile, a low-pressure channel over the Northern and Central Mesas, interacting with atmospheric instability and the entry of moisture from the Pacific Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico, will cause heavy rainfall in Nayarit and Jalisco; very heavy rainfall in Zacatecas, Aguascalientes, Michoacán, Guerrero, Guanajuato, the State of Mexico, and Puebla; and heavy rainfall in Coahuila, Nuevo León, Tamaulipas, San Luis Potosí, Colima, Querétaro, Hidalgo, Tlaxcala, Mexico City, Morelos, and Veracruz.
