Singer Connie Francis hospitalized in the US

American singer Connie Francis , the first solo female artist to top Billboard's Hot 100 chart with her song "Everybody's Somebody's Fool," released in 1960, was hospitalized in the United States after suffering from " extreme pain " whose origin she has not revealed.
The 87-year-old Florida resident said on Facebook Wednesday that she had gone to the hospital "to determine the cause of the extreme pain " she had been experiencing recently. She had said last week that she was suffering from severe hip pain that had forced her to remain in a wheelchair.
Although she was initially admitted to the intensive care unit , Francis reported hours later that she had been transferred to a private room .
The singer , author of other great hits such as ' Pretty Little Baby ' or ' Where The Boys Are ', did not reveal further details about her health or the center where she was hospitalized .
Francis announced that, for this reason, he would not be able to participate in radio DJ Cousin Brucie 's show on July 4 , in honor of Independence Day .
Her track ' Pretty Little Baby ' was recently re-released as a single after going viral on TikTok , garnering millions of views.
The song peaked at number 13 on Billboard's Bubbling Under Hot 100 chart on May 31.
