They are searching for Teresa, who was allegedly the victim of the "kidnappings" by the Hermosillo municipal police.

HERMOSILLO, Son. (apro).- Teresa Ramírez Enríquez, a 60-year-old woman, has been missing since May 23, the date she was last seen, according to reports from the authorities responsible for the search for people. Relatives claim she was one of the victims of the "kidnappings" orchestrated by the Hermosillo municipal police.
The disappearance alert was issued by the state Commission for the Search for Persons on the evening of June 18; on Thursday the 19th, one of Teresa's sisters went to the State Human Rights Commission (CEDH) to report the incident.
Her sister told the CEDH, according to what Proceso learned, that after Teresa did not return home on May 23, they began investigating until they found a clue: a man who worked as a "car washer" told her that Teresa was on the bus that took them to Navojoa, but that she got off before reaching her destination.
Following the complaint, the Sonora Human Rights Commission issued a precautionary measure to alert all institutions to prioritize the woman's return alive. Since this is an emergency measure, it has no implications for the veracity of the version given by Teresa's sister.
As a result, the CEDH began an investigation to confirm or refute the allegations regarding the missing woman. The new investigation, however, does not contradict the previous statements made by Commissioner Luis Fernando Rentería Barragán, who stated, in the first hours after the situation regarding the kidnappings became public, that they had received complaints and that the number of victims had reached 40.
The operation that may have targeted Teresa Ramírez Enríquez led to the arrest of two Hermosillo municipal police officers. This operation occurred hours after the resignation of the police commissioner, Emilio Hoyos Díaz. The former commissioner simply stated that he stepped down due to "interests outside" his own control, but denounced an "attack" against the police force.
The case, however, remains suspended because the legal status of the two arrested individuals has not been determined, and investigations by both the Sonora Prosecutor's Office and the CEDH are ongoing.
Teresa is of robust build, approximately 1.58 meters tall and weighing approximately 135 kilograms. She has fair skin, brown eyes, and a scar in the center of her upper lip as a distinguishing mark, according to her search report.
