Megan Thee Stallion Says Klay Thompson Is the Kindest Man She’s Ever Dated

Megan Thee Stallion gave her relationship with NBA player Klay Thompson the ultimate hard launch yesterday evening when the pair stepped out at the Pete & Thomas Foundation Gala in New York City. They were affectionate during their red carpet debut, and Megan had sweet things to say about her partner in an interview with Page Six.

“I have never dated somebody so kind,” she said. “This is my first relationship where I’ve ever been with somebody who’s genuinely a nice person, and he makes me genuinely happy.”

She added, “I just never dated somebody like him before, and I’m just grateful that he’s here by my side, and he feels the same way about me.”

Megan and Thompson first sparked dating rumors earlier this month, when the basketball star appeared in the background of one of Megan’s Instagram posts.

Last September, the rapper spoke to Billboard about whether there’s a difference between her onstage and offstage selves. “I feel like Megan and Megan Thee Stallion are the same person,” she said. “When I’m Megan Thee Stallion, I’m having to wear armor. I definitely got to go onstage and get in that mode, but I’m still the same person. Just when I’m not in public, I can really decompress and slouch, and I could watch anime all I want. I can play with my puppies, I can talk on the phone with my cousin, I could be with my best friends in peace. I don’t have to worry about being too strong. I could just be me.”
