EKS: Local government resistant to hackers
The word cybersecurity is used in all possible ways today, and it will soon be even louder due to the amendment to the act on the National Cybersecurity System (KSC) being processed by the Ministry of Digitization. As experts argue, this topic cannot only concern the largest state institutions and companies. Regions are key in the entire ecosystem of digital security. It is estimated that the victims of almost 44% of ransomware attacks are local authorities, and in 2020-2022 the number of cyberattacks on cities and municipalities increased by almost 100%.
The moderator of the panel "Local government resistant to hackers. The role of regions in the national cybersecurity ecosystem" will be Michał Kanownik, president of the Digital Poland Association. Panelists: Juliusz Brzostek, director for cybersecurity at NASK; Jarosław Bułka, plenipotentiary of the Mayor of Kraków for Digital Transformation; Paweł Kaszubski, director of the Warmia-Masuria Center for New Technologies; Marcin Sugak, Ericsson, director of the Northern and Central Europe region for critical networks; Marcin Wysocki, deputy director of the Cybersecurity Department at the Ministry of Digital Affairs.
