Foreign investment is turning a corner. A recovery is on the horizon after a weak year.

- We are still waiting for the official results for the first half of this year, but we can already see from the partial data that the situation with investments that we handle as the Polish Investment and Trade Agency is very good - says Marcin Graczyk, PAIH spokesman.

This is an important signal, as foreign direct investment (FDI) has been declining sharply in recent times. According to UNCTAD's June report on global investment, FDI inflows to Poland last year dropped dramatically to $12.74 billion from $28.36 billion. The Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH), which of course only handles some FDI in Poland, ended last year with 20 fewer projects than the year before.
