Saturday evening on the Lower Silesian section of the A4 motorway turned into a nightmare for drivers. Between the Legnickie Pole and Mikołajowice junctions, there was a serious pileup involving seven vehicles. As a result of this incident, 12 people were injured.
The accident occurred at approximately 11:39 p.m. Two buses and five passenger cars collided at the scene.
After the pileup, the highway towards Zgorzelec was blocked for many hoursAccording to witnesses , after the initial collision, subsequent vehicles ran over the damaged cars, which only intensified the scale of the tragedy.
The highway towards Zgorzelec and the border with Germany was completely blocked for several hours. It was not until around 6 a.m. on Sunday that traffic was restored.
This is yet another dramatic accident in recent days on the A4, which is often the scene of serious road accidents. A few days ago, last Friday, near Zabrze, as a result of a collision between two cars, one driver died .
