He explained that this is a response to "further media reports" regarding attempts to "prevent Karol Nawrocki from being sworn in." He added that if the motion is granted, the Speaker of the Sejm will be required, among other things, to "reveal the names of the individuals" involved in the case.
As attorney Bartosz Lewandowski from Ordo Iuris announced on platform X, "in reference to subsequent media reports about inciting Marshal Szymon Hołownia to prevent the swearing-in of President-elect Karol Nawrocki , and thus to change the state system and launch a coup d'état, I hereby inform you that on behalf of the aggrieved National Council of the Judiciary, I have submitted an evidentiary motion to the District Prosecutor's Office in Warsaw to hear Mr. Marshal as a witness ."
The lawyer posted his statement following Szymon Hołownia's Friday interview with "Gość Wydarzeń." The politician revealed at the time that he had been "proposed a coup d'état multiple times."

The lawyer added that "if the evidentiary motion is granted, Marshal Szymon Hołownia will be required to disclose the names of the individuals who incited him to fail in his duties and prevent President Karol Nawrocki from being sworn in, as well as to present the circumstances of such acts." "Inciting to commit a prohibited act is a crime in itself, and it is irrelevant whether the person being incited broke the law or not, " he added.
He also emphasized that "the knowledge revealed by the Marshal is of great importance to the ongoing investigation." "I hope that the prosecutor will grant the request and immediately set a date for action in this matter, " the attorney wrote.

- I have been repeatedly proposed, suggested, and asked whether I am ready to carry out a coup d'état, because that's what it comes down to - commented Hołownia.
When asked about specific names, he stated that "the time will come when we will talk about it." "I won't stage a coup d'état. I didn't vote for Karol Nawrocki ; he wasn't my candidate, but as Speaker of the Sejm, I am obligated to respect the will of the majority of voters, accept the oath of office from the president, ensure the continuity of the armed forces' command and authority in Poland, and talk to the president, with whom we have divergent views on many issues," he emphasized.
" I call it a coup d'état . Of course, it doesn't meet the legal criteria for a coup d'état, but I'm talking about a coup d'état, meaning a situation in which the president has been elected, and I say: well, I don't like this president, so maybe I won't swear him in," continued the Speaker of the Sejm.
