The 82nd edition of the Tour de Pologne will be held from August 4 to 10.
The route includes cities such as Wrocław, Legnica, Katowice, Rybnik, Zakopane and Wieliczka.
Residents of many towns will be able to watch the sporting events up close. However, road disruptions will be expected.
The 82nd edition of Poland's largest cycling race, the Tour de Pologne, begins on Monday, August 4th. Organizers promise that the world's top cyclists will be at the starting line.
This year's race is divided into seven stages. The first will be from Wrocław to Legnica, while the final stage will be a time loop in Wieliczka. Along the way, residents of many cities and towns will be able to watch the athletes compete up close. However, road disruptions will also be expected.
Here are the details of the stages of the 82nd Tour de Pologne:
August 4, Stage 1: Wrocław - Legnica. Distance: 199.7 kilometers
On the first day, competitors will have to cover almost 200 kilometers, and the route will be free of major terrain obstacles. Competitors will have the opportunity to compete for the lead in individual classifications thanks to the LOTTO Flight Premiums in Kąty Wrocławskie, Środa Śląska, and Polkowice, as well as the PZU Mountain Premium in Prochowice.
The competition will end in Legnica, where the fastest cyclists from a large group will most likely finish.

August 5, stage 2: Hotel Gołębiewski Karpacz - Karpacz. Distance: 149.4 km.
The competitors will face a demanding and intense stage, starting at the Gołębiewski Hotel in Karpacz. From there, the peloton will head towards the demanding Sudetes climbs. The cyclists will climb the Kowarska Pass and the Średnica Pass twice, designated as PZU Mountain Premiums of the second category. Active riders will also have the opportunity to compete in the LOTTO Special Premiums in Kamienna Góra and Czarny Bór, as well as the Decathlon Special Premium in Lubawka.

August 6, Stage 3: Wałbrzych - Wałbrzych, Wałbrzych County. Distance: 159.3 km
The Sudetes will once again be the arena for the peloton's competition. This time, the world's top cyclists will tackle the climbs of the Walim Pass and the Niedźwiedzica Pass, which they will climb three times. Before the final mountain sequence, the steep wall in Rzeczka, with an inclination exceeding 10%, will further complicate their task! All of these climbs will be designated as PZU Mountain Premiums. Beforehand, the riders will also battle for victory in the DPD Special Premium in Jedlina-Zdrój. Before the second climb of the Walim Pass, the LOTTO Flying Premium will be held in Walim.

August 7, stage 4: Rybnik Cieszyn. Distance: 201.4 km
The peloton of the 82nd Tour de Pologne will start in Rybnik and head towards the Beskid Mountains. The first part of the stage features the LOTTO Flying Stage in Jaworze, after which the demanding climbs begin. Competitors will traverse the Przegibek Pass, the Eagle's Nest, and the Salmopol Pass – famous climbs designated as PZU Mountain Stages of the highest category. The DrWITT Special Stage in Wisła and the 35th Anniversary of the IMPEL Group in Ustroń will also await the brave riders.

The longest stage of the 82nd Tour de Pologne will measure 205.3 kilometers and run from Katowice to Zakopane. Next, the Special Decathlon Premium in Porąbka will be up for grabs, and shortly after, the riders will begin the climb to the well-known Kocierz, designated as the PZU Mountain Premium of the 1st category. Later in the stage, the Special DPD Premium in Zawoja and the PZU Mountain Premium of the 1st category at the Krowiarki Pass will also be up for grabs. From there, it's just over 60 kilometers to the finish line.

On this relatively short, less than 150-kilometer route, the organizers have included three climbs up famous Tatra mountain peaks – the Harnaś Wall and the BUKOVINA Wall in Rzepiska and Gliczarów. The route will also include the LOTTO Special Stage in Szaflary for cyclists vying for the title of Most Active Rider, as well as the Soudal Special Stage in Rzepiska. Before the final climb up the BUKOVINA Wall, the cyclists will compete in the LOTTO Special Stage in Biały Dunajec.

For several years, the individual time trial has been an integral part of the Tour de Pologne route. This year, a time trial will conclude the competition, leaving anything possible until the final minutes. Competitors will tackle a 12.5-kilometer stage starting and finishing near the Wieliczka Salt Mine.
