Travel agencies are constantly growing – there is a new record of trips sold
What did the April and May results mean for the entire first five months of this year?
As a reminder, in our first-quarter summary, we reported a noticeable slowdown in the growth rate of travel agency sales. At that time, the overall year-on-year increase was 2.6 percent. Charter trips saw a 5.8 percent increase, other transportation options saw a 6.7 percent increase, and domestic and near-abroad trips saw a 10.3 percent decline.
April and May appear to have seen a slight improvement in travel agency travel. Charters have seen an 8 percent increase since May (2.25 million in total), "other foreign destinations" have seen a 9 percent increase (786,000), and only "domestic and near foreign destinations" saw a 10 percent drop (837,600).
In total, the number of travel agency clients reached 3.87 million from January to May , a record high in the history of the Polish organized tourism market. This was 3 percent higher than last year .

During this time, sales in travel agencies measured by concluded contracts (not the number of customers, of whom there could be more per booking) amounted to 338,630 in January, 267,670 in January, 284,333 in April, 243,086 in February, 257,132 in May. For comparison, in 2024 it was: 301,937 in January, 273,916 in February, 243,240 in March, 239,949 in April, and 248,701 in May.
