National road no. 10 near Sierpc. A straight section of the route. On Monday morning, February 24, it rained a little. There was fog. Before noon, a fatal accident occurred in the town of Stare Chabowo.
The photos that were pouring in from the accident scene were terrifying. They showed a deformed steel pulp on the side of a military truck. It was hard to see the shape of the car, its make. A family from Sierpc district was driving that car.
Where they were headed is now irrelevant. Their journey ended tragically nearby, on a route they knew.
Before noon, a tragic accident occurred on national road no. 10 in the town of Stare Chabowo. Two vehicles collided - a truck and a passenger car. Unfortunately, two people in the passenger car died on the spot. They were a married couple - a 43-year-old and a 40-year-old. They had a four-year-old son with them.

The boy was conscious when he was taken to the hospital. He did not suffer any serious injuries. He will definitely remain under observation at the facility. The tragedy unfolded before his eyes. He was the only survivor.

The Sierpc police officer was clearly moved by the tragedy. As she told us, the four-year-old was not seriously hurt because he was sitting on the right side of the car. This saved his life.
It is known that the truck driver was sober. Nothing happened to him. The causes and circumstances of the tragic accident will be investigated by the prosecutor's office.
