New carrier in Poland. This train will take us to Croatia in the future

Another application for access to Polish tracks in order to launch international connections has been registered at the Office of Rail Transport. This time, the interested entity is the Czech bus and rail carrier Gepard Express, which would like to run trains through our country on the routes from Prague to Kharkiv, from Terespol and Vilnius, and from Vilnius to Split. The exact times of train operation are already known.
Gepard Express wants to operate in PolandThe Czechs are increasingly interested in entering the Polish rail market. Not only České Dráhy and Leo Express , but also the Gepard Express, still unknown to many passengers, may soon use the tracks in our country. The private carrier has obtained the consent of the Office of Rail Transport to launch international trains from Prague to Kharkiv, from Terespol and Vilnius, and from Vilnius to Split, which, depending on the chosen route, would stop in cities such as Przemyśl, Kraków, Katowice, Rzeszów, Warsaw, Rybnik or Białystok (tickets would not be available in domestic traffic). The carrier has already published a detailed timetable with departure times, but the final ticket prices remain unknown for now.
Will Poles soon go to Croatia? At what stage is the Gepard Express application currently? According to Rynek Kolejowy, on April 14, Gepard Express filled in all the gaps indicated by the office and met the legal requirements that allow it to publish public notifications regarding route launch plans. "The Gepard Express notification opens the door to potential objections from other entities as part of the so-called economic equilibrium study," we read.
The entry of Gepard Express into the market is another chance for Poles to have direct rail connections to Croatia. Let us recall that PKP already has similar plans to launch trains to Split. In the case of the Polish carrier , optimistic forecasts spoke of launching the route even within the next few months.
