Government to hear from Marcelo and political parties about recognition of Palestine

The Government will consult with the President of the Republic and political parties to "consider recognizing the Palestinian State" in September, according to a statement from the Prime Minister's office released this Thursday.
"The Government has decided to consult His Excellency the President of the Republic and the Political Parties represented in the Assembly of the Republic, with a view to considering the recognition of the Palestinian State ", the Government announced, pointing to a " procedure that can be concluded during the High Level week of the 80th General Assembly of the United Nations, to be held in New York next September ".
After stating that the Portuguese State "reexamined the issue and conditions for the recognition of a State of Palestine" at the conference on the "Palestinian question and the implementation of the two-state solution" that took place at the UN in recent days, the Government presents the conditions "fulfilled by the Palestinian Authority" that "should be considered verified" by the countries present at the conference.
