Italians invest 10 million and create 100 jobs in a factory in Paços de Brandão

In the Pousado Industrial Zone, in Paços de Brandão, Santa Maria da Feira, some old industrial facilities will be reborn, in a Portuguese-Italian investment dedicated to the extrusion of polyethylene foam.
The company is called Global Foam by Isofom and presents itself as a "milestone for the industry in the production of rolls, plates and profiles in polyethylene foam, 100% recyclable and, therefore, environmentally friendly products".
To boost this project, which has a manufacturing area of 10 thousand square meters, the Italian company Isofom and the Portuguese manager João Lopes, "with more than 20 years of experience in the b2b extrusion industry, in an international context", have joined forces and assume the leadership of Global Foam by Isofom.
"This is an investment of 10 million euros in a factory equipped with cutting-edge technology, which has a large production capacity and focuses on supplying mainly the markets of southern Europe - Portugal, Spain and France - and North Africa, especially Morocco", said João Lopes, in statements to Negócios.
Without wanting to detail the shareholder structure of Global Foam by Isofom, only adding that the Italians "are the majority", the company's CEO said that the new industrial investment at the Fair led to the creation of around a hundred jobs, of which "80 are direct".
