About four months after Marco Paulo's death, yet another tragedy befalls the family, with the death of Ernesto João Simão, the singer's older brother, at the age of 84, this Wednesday, the 26th.

A statement, made by nephew Pedro Silva, to which TV Guia had access, states that Ernesto was hospitalized when Marco Paulo died and that he was therefore not present at his brother's funeral.

It was the news of his death, which was only given later, that caused Ernesto to have a relapse "which weakened him beyond repair", wrote Pedro Silva.

The man underwent surgery after breaking a vertebra in bed. It is worth remembering that Marco Paulo passed away on October 24, 2023, after a long battle with cancer.
