Just a few days before the Oscars, on March 2nd, the award nominee is making quick trips to the capital to enjoy anonymity once again. She has a house near Cais do Sodré. When she goes out, she accepts requests for selfies from fans and mingles with the locals. She can't resist the seed bread at a bakery in Bica and loses herself in the fish from the Pap'Açorda garden.
In the countdown to the Oscars, Fernanda Torres did something that is commonplace for most mortals: she left her house to buy bread, but she was more than 9,000 km away from the Los Angeles film festival. She was in Lisbon on the morning of February 18 (Tuesday). It was already past 10 am when the 59-year-old Brazilian, nominated for Best Actress for the film I'm Still Here , went to the artisanal bakery Bike Bakery, near the Bica Elevator. She had just come from the 2025 Bafta Film Awards at the Royal Festival Hall in London – the prelude to the Oscars, which took place on February 16 (Sunday) – where she appeared wearing a haute couture dress by Dior.
