Sees us profits grow 50.6% to 273.1 million in 2024

Telecommunications operator Nos ended 2024 with a profit of 273.1 million euros, representing an increase of 50.6% compared to 2023. The company led by Miguel Almeida had ended the first half of the year with a net result of 148.6 million euros.
In a statement to the CMVM, Nos' CEO recalls that the 2024 results "were the company's best ever, with solid growth in revenue, EBITDA and net income before extraordinary effects".
Nos saw its consolidated revenues grow by 6.2% to 1,696.3 million euros, driven by telecommunications revenues from the business segment.
Last year, the operator saw its EBITDA rise 7.1% to 767.6 million euros, supported by telecommunications.
"It was a year of achievements, in which we maintained our leadership in 5G, expanded our FTTH coverage, and reinforced our differentiating value proposition, based on technological superiority, innovation and the construction of close, trusting relationships", says the manager.
In terms of investment, the operator assumes a total of 372.7 million throughout the year, having reinvested 21.4% of telecommunications revenues, which amounted to 1,629.1 million euros.
"The significant investment we have made over the last few years and the obsession with continually improving the quality of the services we provide to families, companies and institutions continue to be recognized by our customers, justifying the record results achieved", says Miguel Almeida.
The operator has more than 4,780 5G stations installed in all municipalities in Portugal. The fixed network ended the year covering 5.7 million homes, an increase of 301,300 compared to 2023.
In turn, the number of services, the operator indicated, increased by 337.9 thousand to 11.3 million.
Revenues from the cinema and audiovisual segment also grew by 2.8% to 102.2 million euros. EBITDA from audiovisual and cinema exhibition rose by 1% to 46.7 million euros.
Regarding the purchase of Claranet Portugal for 152 million euros , which took place in January 2025, the telecommunications operator admits that it will strengthen and complement Nos' offer.
