Meajazz consolidates its national status with a large following in Portugal

The Meajazz – Jazz, Blues & Wine Fest once again filled the Jardim do Lago do Luso with music and charm last weekend, firmly establishing itself as one of the leading festivals in the national jazz and blues scene. With a lineup that brought together major national and international names, and a remarkable debut of the Wine Fest, the event attracted hundreds of people and reinforced Mealhada's cultural and tourist identity.
Organized by the Municipality of Mealhada, the festival's biggest novelty this year was its collaboration with Rota da Bairrada, which brought the public a selection of wines and sparkling wines from the region, creating a complete sensory experience that combined excellent music with the richness of the local wine culture.
Artists invited the public
The closing act was performed by trumpeter and singer Jéssica Pina, who, after joining Madonna's world tour, treated the audience to a memorable performance at Luso, after performing at venues such as COOLJAZZ, Sol da Caparica, and Joy of Jazz (South Africa). DJ Rui Rosa provided the festival's ambient sound, enhancing the immersive atmosphere between concerts.
With free admission and musical curation by Luckyman Music, Meajazz has once again become a meeting point for different generations and audiences, valuing the closeness between artists and audience in a natural setting of rare beauty.
For Filomena Pinheiro, vice-president of the Mealhada City Council and head of Culture, "Meajazz continues to establish itself as a leading festival destination nationwide. We sought to feature both established and emerging artists, who provided two nights full of magic and who will certainly captivate new audiences for future editions." The mayor also highlights the success of the partnership with Rota da Bairrada. "Associating local wine products with the festival was a winning bet and makes perfect sense for the evolution of this event, which reinvents and improves with each edition."
