PJ arrested man suspected of rape and domestic violence

The Judicial Police (PJ) arrested, at Francisco de Sá Carneiro Airport, in Porto, a man suspected of committing rape and domestic violence crimes that occurred in Braga, that force announced this Monday.

According to a PJ source, the victim is the suspect's ex-partner, who was arrested on Friday, when he was returning from France, where he had traveled for work in the early hours of the morning after the events.

The suspect, a foreigner, lives in Braga, although he frequently travels to France for professional reasons.

He was subject to coercive measures, applied within the scope of another investigation, where he was suspected of committing the crime of domestic violence against another woman.

Now, he was again brought before the Braga Judicial Court for his first interrogation, and was subject to the coercive measure of removal from the victim.
