SNS executive board leaves minister in the eye of the storm

The chronology of the fall of one Almeida and the rise of another to the leadership of the executive board of the National Health Service, riding on the coattails of Gandra D'Almeida's incompatibilities. Luís Montenegro holds the minister in place, while the PS and PSD blame each other.
The decline in the incompatibilities of the now former CEO of the National Health Service (SNS) increased pressure on the Minister of Health, Ana Paula Martins, in a week in which she was forced to accept Gandra D'Almeida's resignation and find a replacement to lead the executive management of the SNS.
As soon as the controversy broke out, through an investigation by SIC, the question arose as to whether or not the minister knew that Gandra D'Almeida had worked for more than two years as a day laborer in several hospitals in the country (Gaia, Guarda, Faro and Portimão, having received, for his work in the Algarve alone, more than 200 thousand euros) when he was head of the INEM's Northern Regional Delegation, before being appointed executive director of the SNS.
The report prepared by the Public Administration Recruitment and Selection Committee (CReSAP), when she was appointed to the position of CEO of the SNS, indicated, at least in part, the accumulation of functions, but concluded that Gandra D'Almeida had the “suitable” profile. And it was this conclusion that Ana Paula Martins clung to in order to exempt herself from responsibility.
