Fausto Silva has been hospitalized at Einstein Hospital Israelita since May 21, 2025, due to an acute bacterial infection with sepsis. During this period, he underwent infection control and clinical and nutritional rehabilitation to stabilize his health.

The patient underwent a liver transplant this Wednesday, August 6, combined with a kidney retransplant, planned a year ago, and performed today, August 7. The procedures took place after Einstein was contacted by the São Paulo State Transplant Center and confirmed the compatibility of the organs donated by a single donor.
