Find out which tea boosts memory and increases concentration in your daily life

In a world marked by constant distractions, staying focused can seem like an impossible mission . But nature, once again, offers simple and effective alternatives. In Metrópoles , nutritionist Clayton Camargos shares a tea recipe that promises to improve concentration, memory and mental clarity in a balanced way.
The combination suggested by Camargos combines three powerful herbs: green tea , rosemary and mint. According to the expert, the choice is not random. “Each of these ingredients acts in a complementary way on the nervous system, promoting focus and disposition, but without causing the spikes in agitation that some stimulant drinks cause,” he explains.
Green tea: rich in caffeine and L-theanine, it stimulates attention and reduces mental fatigue. Unlike coffee, its action is more gradual, avoiding sudden energy fluctuations. Rosemary: improves cerebral circulation and contributes to cognitive performance. It also has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Mint: refreshing, helps oxygenate the brain and combats mental fatigue, as well as aiding digestion.
Tea recipeIngredients
- 1 teaspoon green tea ( Camellia sinensis )
- 1 teaspoon rosemary leaves (fresh or dried)
- 1 teaspoon mint ( Mentha spicata )
- 250 ml of water
Preparation method
- Heat the water until it almost boils (about 85°C).
- Turn off the heat and add all the herbs.
- Cover and let infuse for 5 to 7 minutes.
- Strain and drink warm, without adding sugar, to make the most of the active compounds.

Camargos emphasizes that consumption should be done in moderation : up to three cups per day, spread throughout the day. “Despite the benefits, excess can cause insomnia, palpitations or gastric discomfort.”
Care and contraindicationsNot every organism reacts in the same way to the herbs used. Therefore, possible contraindications should be taken into account when using them:
- Pregnant and lactating women should avoid green tea due to its caffeine content.
- People with uncontrolled high blood pressure or sensitivity to stimulants should seek professional advice.
- Rosemary is contraindicated in cases of epilepsy.
“Even though it’s natural, every plant has active ingredients. Therefore, it’s important to consume it consciously and always observe how your body responds,” warns Camargos.
