President Emmanuel Macron was received by King Harald and Queen Sonia at the Royal Palace in Oslo, Norway with a state banquet, on the occasion of the French president's official visit to the country, which took place this Monday, June 23.
However, the main star of the solemn occasion ended up being Princess Ingrid Alexandra, eldest daughter of Prince Haakon and Princess Mette-Marit, who dazzled with the look she chose for the banquet.
Details of the look of the heir to the Norwegian throne
Ingrid of Norway, second in line to the throne (after her father Haakon), debuted a burgundy satin off-the-shoulder gown by British designer Vivienne Westwood.
The princess paired the dress with a diamond and pearl tiara, a historic piece that belonged to her great-great-grandmother, Princess Ingeborg of Sweden, who received it as a gift from her husband, Charles of Sweden.
As noted by Hola! magazine, Princess Ragnhild, King Harlad's older sister, inherited the tiara and her son fulfilled her wish by offering it to the future Queen of Norway when she came of age.

As for her military training, Ingrid of Norway spent 15 months at the Skjöld military camp where, despite being a princess, she was not treated differently - unlike what happened, for example, with Princess Leonor of Spain.

According to statements from some of Princess Leonor's colleagues in the Navy, she has been treated differently during a mission on the high seas, with the right to special food on board.
