Reconstruction of strategic gas pipeline in Dagestan completed

At a meeting of the Republican headquarters for the preparation of housing and communal services facilities for the autumn-winter period of 2025-2026, the general director of Gazprom transgaz Makhachkala LLC, Alexander Astanin, announced the completion of a large-scale reconstruction of the gas pipeline branch supplying the Novolaksky and Khasavyurt districts.

The old gas pipeline with a diameter of 159 mm, built in 1986, could no longer cope with the growing needs of the districts, especially during peak loads. As part of the investment project, a new gas pipeline with a diameter of 325 mm and a length of 29.3 km was built along a new route in 2024.

"The reconstruction will ensure uninterrupted gas supply to consumers in both regions during the upcoming autumn-winter period," the gas company representative emphasized.

The Chairman of the Government of Dagestan, Abdulmuslim Abdulmuslimov, noted the importance of completing this facility for the socio-economic development of the region and preparing the infrastructure for the winter season.

The new gas pipeline will significantly increase the reliability of the supply of blue fuel to residents and businesses in the two districts.
