Clash between Ethiopian and Kenyan fishermen: 13 dead, 22 missing

Clashes broke out between Ethiopian and Kenyan fishermen in the Lopeimukat and Natira regions, located near the Omo River on the border of the two countries.
It was reported that 13 Ethiopians lost their lives, 3 people were injured and 22 Kenyan fishermen were missing in the incident.
Kenya's Turkana Governor Jeremiah Lomorukai said the clashes began last Saturday evening, reporting that 15 fishing boats had been stolen. Lomorukai said six fishermen from Ethiopia's Dasenech ethnic group had been rescued and sent back.
Kenyan Interior Minister Kipchumba Murkomen said that additional security forces were sent to the region and that they were making efforts to establish peace between the two sides by establishing contact with Ethiopia.
