Diploma investigation against Ekrem İmamoğlu: Chief Public Prosecutor's Office sent a letter to the Rectorate

There has been a new development in the 'fake diploma' investigation launched against Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu . The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office wrote to the Istanbul University Rectorate.

The Chief Public Prosecutor's Office stated in its letter, "It has been determined that the administrative procedures regarding recognition, horizontal transfer quotas, announcement periods and horizontal transfer acceptance by the Istanbul University Faculty of Business Administration Dean's Office have been carried out in violation of the decisions of the Council of Higher Education, and that the diploma in question continues to be used (such as the Supreme Election Board, etc.), and that in this context, the necessary procedures should be carried out as soon as possible in order for the work and transactions to be established by using the diploma as a basis not to be against the law, and that an administrative investigation should be carried out in accordance with the report sent by the Istanbul University Rectorate in the annex, considering the legally irreparable consequences that will arise as a result of the use of the diploma in question, or if there is an ongoing administrative investigation, the said investigation reports should be sent to our Office of the Chief Public Prosecutor..."

"DETERMINE WHO MADE THE HORIZONTAL TRANSITION"

The letter also requested that all documents regarding Ekrem İmamoğlu's education at Istanbul University and the procedures regarding the acceptance of the horizontal transfer on September 12, 1990 be identified and sent by whom.
