Egemen Korkmaz era in the Umit National Team!
The Turkish Football Federation announced that Egemen Korkmaz has been appointed as the head coach of the Under-21 National Team.

The Turkish Football Federation has decided to appoint Egemen Korkmaz to fill the vacant position of Under-21 National Team Technical Director following the departure of Gökhan Gönül.
Korkmaz, who holds a UEFA Pro License, began his coaching career at Denizlispor. He later served as an assistant coach at BB Erzurumspor and Trabzonspor. The 42-year-old coach won the Super League championship in the 2021/22 season and the Super Cup championship in the 2020/21 season during his time at Trabzonspor.
During his active football career, Korkmaz, who wore the A National Team jersey 9 times, the A2 National Team jersey once, the Junior National Team jersey 4 times, the U20 National Team jersey 6 times and the U18 National Team jersey twice, was also in the squad of our Crescent-Star team that competed in the 2001 Mediterranean Games finals.
Egemen Korkmaz started his football career in Balıkesirspor and then played professionally in Kartalspor, Bursaspor, Trabzonspor, Beşiktaş, Fenerbahçe, FC Wil 1900, İstanbul Başakşehir FK and BB Erzurumspor.
Korkmaz, who played in 30 matches in European cups during his playing career, won the Super League championship once, the Turkish Cup once and the Super Cup once with Fenerbahçe; and won the Turkish Cup championship once with Trabzonspor.
He won the Cup and the Super Cup once. Korkmaz also won the TFF 1st League championship once with Bursaspor.
