Irregularity in Ekrem İmamoğlu's diploma has been documented! YÖK report has emerged: Questionable horizontal transfer 2 days before the application deadline

The diploma of CHP's IMM Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu was also found to be questionable. An investigation was launched by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the allegations that İmamoğlu's university diploma was irregular.
The prosecutor's office is examining the allegations that İmamoğlu's horizontal transfer from Girne American University to Istanbul University contained irregularities, in line with the Higher Education Council (YÖK) report and various reports. The IMM President will testify at the prosecutor's office on March 5, as part of the investigation launched for the crime of "forgery of official documents."

THERE WAS NO EQUIVALENT IN TURKEY AT THAT TIME
It was stated that İmamoğlu registered to the Civil Engineering Department of Eastern Mediterranean University of Cyprus in 1987 without taking an exam, then transferred to the Business Administration Department of Girne American University and transferred to Istanbul University in 1990. However, it is said that this transfer was not legal because Girne American University did not have an equivalent in Turkey at the time and İmamoğlu's grade point average was not sufficient for a horizontal transfer. NORTHERN CYPRUS UNIVERSITY IS NOT RECOGNIZED BY YÖK
On the other hand, the report prepared as a result of the investigations of the YÖK board determined multidimensional irregularities. In particular, the report determined that the University of Northern Cyprus was not recognized by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) in 1990, when the horizontal transfer was made.It was determined that the horizontal transfer process from the University of Northern Cyprus, which was not recognized by the Council of Higher Education in 1990 and whose recognition decision was taken in 1993, to the Faculty of Business Administration of Istanbul University was not carried out in accordance with the decisions and procedures of the Council of Higher Education in terms of recognition, horizontal transfer quotas, announcement periods and acceptance procedures.
The report stated, "It was observed that the horizontal transfer procedures were not carried out in accordance with the decision of the Council of Higher Education by the Istanbul University Faculty of Business Administration." (Takvim.com.tr)
