Justice Minister Tunç shares about Workplaces

Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç stated that an average of 60 thousand convicts and detainees work in 1,700 workshops and facilities in the 371 Workshop Directorate every year and said, "While our workshops operate like a factory where production never stops, we also contribute to our national economy by offering domestic products produced in the workshops to our citizens."

The purpose of criminal justice is to protect society from crime. We work to rehabilitate and reintegrate convicts into society through the practices we implement during the penal execution phase.

Tunç, in his post on social media, emphasized that the purpose of criminal justice is to protect society from crime.

Tunç stated that they were working to rehabilitate and reintegrate convicts into society through practices implemented during the penal execution phase, and noted the following:

"To this end, we provide on-the-job vocational training through our Workshops Institution and carry out production activities in more than 200 professions. An average of 60 thousand convicts and detainees work every year in 371 Workshop Directorates, 1,700 workshops and facilities throughout Turkey. While our Workshops operate like a factory where production never stops, we also contribute to our national economy by offering domestic products produced in the workshops to our citizens."
