In the evacuated neighborhoods of Kırtıl and Balandız, some houses, barns and haylofts were damaged by the fire, and many animals perished.
Nazip Türker, a resident of the Balandız neighborhood, told an AA correspondent that a house, barn, hayloft and agricultural land were burned in the fire.
Stating that the flames were effective in a wide area, Türker said:
"May God not send this disaster upon anyone. My 100-acre pistachio and almond orchard burned here. Including my neighbors, perhaps 50,000 fruit trees in the surrounding area burned. My house, chickens, cattle, barn, hayloft, and fodder were burned. There's nothing left in the house except a teaspoon. We're asking the government for help. There's nothing we can do."
