In the terrible accident that occurred on the Kemerburgaz road at around 02:00 on February 22, 25-year-old Muhammet Gürcan Koçak and his cousin started to wait in the emergency lane when the UTV vehicle driven by his cousin broke down. While they were repairing the vehicle, the light commercial vehicle driver, whose identity has not yet been determined, hit the young man with his vehicle and fled. Koçak, who was thrown into the forest and seriously injured by the impact, lost his life in the hospital he was taken to. Father Harun Koçak met with Oğuz Murat Aci's father Özer Aci, who shared the same fate with his son about a year ago, and made statements to SABAH.

Harun Koçak said, "I request the authorities to shed light on this incident and find this heartless person." Koçak's accomplice Özer Aci said, "I am experiencing my pain again. When I first heard about it, I was devastated. I called Mr. Harun as soon as I found out. I wanted to be by his side."

THEY WENT ON A PICNIC

Harun Koçak stated that his son and his cousins ​​went on a picnic with a UTV around 9:00 p.m. and that Muhammet loved Göktürk very much. Koçak said, "My son loved the Göktürk Forest very much. After the picnic, they toured Göktürk. Later, on the way back, the UTV broke down and smoke came out of the vehicle. They were trying to fix the UTV on the emergency lane. While his cousin was looking under the UTV with the light of his phone, my son got out of the back seat next to him. His cousin also saw something flying over the vehicle at that moment. When he looked where the sound was coming from, he saw my son lying on the ground. The vehicle that hit my son did not stop and continued to move forward. The accident happened around 2:00 a.m. I heard about it around 3:00 a.m. We learned that he lost his life in the hospital."

Koçak, who said that he asked for permission to go in his last conversations with his son, said, "I warned him to be careful. He said, 'Dad, don't worry, we will have a picnic and go out with our friends.' My son was a courier and he had taken precautions when he went. I last saw my son 5 hours before I lost him. I especially ask the esteemed authorities to clarify this incident and find this heartless person. Our destiny brought us together. My brother called me and asked for permission to come. I was lucky enough to meet my destiny friend. When he heard my pain, his pain was renewed. We are now side by side to share our pain."

"I WAS GOING TO HAVE A WEDDING FOR MY SON"

The grieving father could not control his emotions as he told his son that they would be getting married in 4 months and that he had taken all his belongings. Father Harun Koçak said, "If the heartless person had helped my son, my conscience would not have been this painful. I lost my daughter in a traffic accident in 1998. At that time, I had a grave built for 5 people. The place where I buried my son belonged to me. I was going to have a wedding for my son, but his funeral happened."

Özer Acı, Koçak's comrade in law and sharing his pain, made the following statements: "Almost the same dates, the same place, the same type of vehicle, a vehicle that was taken to the emergency lane. People who were taken away from their lives on both sides. Where was this escaped driver going at that speed on a lane at that hour in such a place? Both accidents are very similar. There is not helping the injured, there is leaving them to die. Heartless, at least call 112. A person empathizes. Our humanity is dead. While this is happening to us today, let such incidents not happen to someone else tomorrow. A person you killed, have we become so merciless?
