The businessman's funeral will take place tomorrow. Altınbaş will be buried in Zincirlikuyu Cemetery after the funeral prayer, which will be held after the afternoon prayer at Zincirlikuyu Mosque in Istanbul.

WHO IS ALI ALTINBAS?

Born in 1956 in Hasanoğlu Village of Araban district of Gaziantep, Ali Altınbaş started his education life at Hasanoğlu Village Primary School. After graduating from Gaziantep Trade High School Middle School, he graduated from the technical school as a mechanical technician.

Altınbaş, who started his business life as a jeweler, played an important role in the development of Altınbaş Holding together with his family.

He pioneered entrepreneurship by establishing one of Turkey 's first official importing construction companies and was among the tax record holders during the same period.

Ali Altınbaş, who took over the Chairmanship of Altınbaş Holding after the death of his father Mehmet Altınbaş in 2003, ensured the growth of the holding in different sectors.

The foundations of Altınbaş University were laid with the efforts of the Mehmet Altınbaş Education and Culture Foundation, which was established within the framework of the holding's investments in the field of education.
