2025 'Sevim Burak Story Award' announced

Out of the 86 files submitted for the award, 10 files were shortlisted as a result of the evaluation of the preliminary jury consisting of Cuma Duymaz, Mükerrem Yılmaz and Ersun Çıplak; and were evaluated by the jury consisting of Aysu Erden (jury president), Buket Uzuner, Elfe Uluç, Nazlı Eray, Haydar Ergülen and Mehmet Erte.

As a result of the evaluation, the jury unanimously decided to award first place to Turgay Çumak's When the Buttons Talk for its experimental use of language and its courage to push the boundaries of the story as a literary genre, and to Nesimi Yetik's Ben ve Gulyabani for its fluent portrayal of the interesting details of ordinary lives, its originality in creating a detective storyline, and its creation of a highly aesthetic cinematographic atmosphere.

A7 Kitap announced that, in accordance with the specifications, both first place winning files will be published in the A7 Kitap Literature Series.
