St. Petersburg Eifman Ballet to be a guest at the '16th International Istanbul Opera and Ballet Festival'

The "16th International Istanbul Opera and Ballet Festival" organized by the General Directorate of State Opera and Ballet (DOB) will host the St. Petersburg Eifman Ballet.
According to the statement made by the Istanbul State Opera and Ballet (IDOB) , the ballet "Anna Karenina" , brought to the stage with the interpretation of famous choreographer Boris Eifman , will meet art lovers at the Atatürk Cultural Center (AKM) Türk Telekom Opera Stage between May 31 and June 1.
Inspired by Lev Tolstoy's masterpiece that left its mark on world literature, the ballet is adapted for the stage and centers on a passionate and tragic love story set in Russia in the 1870s.
The music of the piece uses the works of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky , one of the important composers of Russian Romanticism. The work combines classical ballet techniques with modern dance.
RUSSIAN HAMLET WILL BE STAGEDThe International Istanbul Opera and Ballet Festival will end with "Russian Hamlet" to be staged by the St. Petersburg Eifman Ballet on June 2-3 .
The work of Russian choreographer Boris Eifman will meet the audience at the AKM Türk Telekom Opera Stage. Eifman blends history and fiction in the work, drawing on the dramatic similarities between William Shakespeare's Hamlet character and Russian Tsar Pavel I.
In Russian Hamlet, works by classical music giants such as Ludwig van Beethoven and Gustav Mahler are performed.
The work has been staged in many countries, including the USA, France, Germany, Austria, Italy, China, South Korea and Argentina.
