The holiday destination for Istanbul has been announced

According to the statement made by the National Palaces, this rare area, which brings together the magnificence of history and the elegance of nature, is not only a palace garden, but also attracts attention as a unique cultural heritage where aesthetic, symbolic and natural values are intertwined.

The royal garden, which bears the traces of Sultan Abdulhamid II's passion for botany, is like a nature park hidden in the heart of the city.

Yıldız Palace, which was opened to visitors on July 19, 2024 with the presence of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, offers a unique discovery area for those interested in garden art, culture and history with its rich plant wealth, impressive landscaping and a pond that looks like a natural river.

More than a palace garden: Hamid Garden

Yıldız Hasbahçesi, known as Hamid Garden during the Ottoman period, reflects the elegance of the state with nature. The oval-shaped garden, which is 350 meters long and 80 meters wide from north to south, includes structures such as Sultan Selim III Fountain, Namazgah, Kameriye Pavilion, Cihannüma Pavilion and bridges.

The artificial river-pool system that runs through the garden meanders and eventually splits into two branches, creating a small island. This 300-meter waterline, which resembles the silhouette of the Ottoman word "Hamid" from a bird's eye view, attracts attention not only in terms of engineering but also aesthetics. This system, which flows with grottos, cascades and calm waters, determines the spirit of the garden.

Exotic trees, colorful animals

The Hasbahçe, which also attracts visitors with its rich flora and fauna and is home to dozens of exotic tree and plant species, offers an experience through scents and textures as well as visual richness. As a reflection of Ottoman taste, peacocks, swans and ducks still exist as residents of natural life in the Hasbahçe.

Visitors to Yıldız Palace have the opportunity to rediscover stories hidden in the shadows while following the traces of the past in this unique garden.

Yıldız Palace Private Garden, which can be visited every day of the week except Wednesdays between 9:00 and 17:30, inspires its visitors with its connection to nature as well as its historical roots.

Hasbahçe will also be open to visitors during Eid al-Adha.
