Murat Çalık is being brought to Istanbul for the Forensic Medicine committee!

Arrested Beylikdüzü Mayor Mehmet Murat Çalık was transferred from Izmir to Istanbul to appear before the Forensic Medicine Institution. Speaking to TELE1, Çalık's lawyers said, "We were unaware, so we are proceeding to the Forensic Medicine Institution."
TELE1 BROUGHT IT ON THE AGENDAMurat Çalık, who has a history of leukemia and lymphoma, was arrested as part of the March 19 operation and sent to Silivri Prison.
It was revealed that Çalık, who was sent from Silivri to Buca Prison on the 75th day of his detention, had lost 15 kilos in prison.
TELE1 had previously reported that Çalık had been treated for lymphoma and leukemia (blood cancer). Following TELE1's report, Justice Minister Yılmaz
Tunç had said that Çalık's detention would be re-evaluated following the examination by the Forensic Medicine Institute.
He was not drafted into the military due to leukemia.Speaking to TELE1, Murat Çalık's wife, Zehra Çalık, stated that her husband received leukemia treatment for nine months in 1999 and said:
After receiving treatment, Mehmet wants to join the military. And he does. He serves for about a month before being sent back after being notified by GATA. In 2006, he was diagnosed with lymphoma. A mass was removed from his neck, and after a while, the pathology results came back negative, he underwent further surgery. He had regular routine checkups and blood counts.
The charge included in the file was dismissed.Murat Çalık's arrest was based on allegations made by complainant/defendant Uğur Güngör, who benefited from effective remorse in the İmamoğlu investigation. According to this allegation, Güngör applied to Beylikdüzü Municipality, where İmamoğlu was mayor at the time, to obtain a construction permit, losing first 13 apartments, and then two, to the alleged "gang" in the investigation.
The same person had previously applied for the same reason, the prosecutor's office decided "no prosecution" in 2020, and the district governor's office said "there is no element of crime" in 2023.
In fact, no investigation was even permitted for the same allegations, but the decision of non-prosecution in this case was linked to İmamoğlu's case while waiting for approval, and became grounds for arrest.
