The firefighter who murdered his wife and children was found dead in prison!

Firefighter Turgay Gezgin's children, Toprak Ege Gezgin (4) and Muzaffer Deniz Gezgin (11), and his wife, Fatma Gezgin (34), lost their lives after being exposed to intense smoke in a house fire in Nazilli, Aydın. Security forces, who found the fire, which started in the bedroom but did not spread to any other room, suspicious, conducted a detailed investigation on the orders of the prosecutor's office. According to security camera footage, Turgay Gezgin, who had fainted and entered and exited the house shortly before the fire, discovered that he had entered and exited the house shortly before the fire. Teams also examined the phone of Fatma Gezgin, the mother who died along with her two children, and discovered that messages and other recordings had been deleted from her phone shortly before the fire.

After all the data was deemed suspicious, teams from the Nazilli District Police Department, under the direction of the Public Prosecutor's Office, began monitoring the murder suspect, Turgay Gezgin, and his girlfriend, FT, with whom they were reportedly engaged 10 days after the incident. Following the investigation, police teams uncovered all the details over two months. The suspects were apprehended in an operation. Both suspects were taken into custody and referred to the Nazilli Courthouse. Turgay Gezgin was arrested by court and sent to prison, while FT was released on probation.

FOUND DEAD

Suspected murderer Turgay Gezgin was arrested by a court and then imprisoned in Nazilli Closed Prison. He was later transferred to Adana Closed Prison, where he was found dead by prison officers. Authorities announced that Gezgin had taken his own life in prison and that an investigation has been launched.
